Huang Long

Huang Long was our next stop on our adventure.

The ride from Songpan town to Huang Long was spectacular.  At around 14000 feet, on this mountain pass we actually DROVE above the clouds. I believe that was a first for me.

Then we saw what the kids have been so hoping to see for the last two years - SNOW!!!

 Yes, this yak was alive. A "sacred" lucky white yak

 When we made it to Hunag Long, the gondola ride up saved us much time and energy.

 We were told this place, Huang long, and Jiuzhaigou are to China as Yellowstone is to America.  Clearly all the folks in China enjoy coming in the fall as well as it was quite crowded.

As we walked up, the view was literally breathtaking as it was an elevation of 13,000 feet.   It was interesting to see the stands selling oxygen.  Though we did not get a picture, the more "interesting" part were those individuals with a can of oxygen in one hand and a cigarette in the other. We steered clear of them just in case. Yet I digress...

 So thankful we got to experience this with our precious littles.

We really had to almost convince our minds that this is real.  We were told this type of water formation only happens in one other place in the world (Croatia I think).  Truly remarkable.

The water, almost seemed unreal, the changes in color... just Wow!

 Water that is crystal clear.

 These sweet moments are too precious to not catch.  Sometimes, we just need hugs. :)

 The kids all wanted to touch the water.  They said it was extremely cold, but felt smooth.

 Wow.  We couldn't help ourselves but to start singing praises to the Lord as we walked down (there is no gondola down so it is a bit of a walk, but oh.so.beautiful).
Our Creator is Awesome.  So thankful He allowed us this opportunity to enjoy a little bit more of His handiwork.
