Towards the end of the holiday week we went to QingChen mountain outside the city. It was fun to go with friends here to visit such a beautiful place. We rode a gondola up, for which we were thankful! The first one was a big one and we all fit inside!
The second a tiny one that our family had to split up. I am terribly afraid of heights, so this one was a bit tougher for me.
We still didn't quite make it to the top, but close enough. haha
It was a lovely ride down...
Then we found out the second gondola was broken... So ready or not, here we go.
Or do we??
Check out this bridge, if you are really small, you could fall off so easily! YIKES!!
Thankfully my dear hubby held on tight to our baby girl.

Aren't we supposed to be going down?? Good thing we didn't take the quick way down.
Safety isn't a high priority here. 😂 Yes, that is the edge.
Breakfast the next morning - delicious mantou - delicious breads.
Qingchen Shan is beautiful! So thankful we were able to go with friends. ;) Sichuan has so many lovely places to explore! You really should visit one day. 😊
As we started down, my legs were already like jello, was dreading that gondola ride down, but pretty certain my legs couldn't carry me much further... Clearly, our oldest doesn't suffer from the fear of heights like me... this is her on the gondola throwing down some ramen.

We were so happy to be at the bottom of the mountain! :)
At the bottom of the hill - an SOS phone. hahahah.. My legs totally needed that phone about an hour back. Of course, upon closer inspection - there was no phone! Thankfully we made it back to our $17 a night hotel room. Not bad for $17!
The little town is quintessential China to me. Beautiful.
